P900

PC platform: Windows 11 and Windows 10.

With a fast test time and high performance due to parallel processing the P900 is very cost-effective in a fully automated environment. A complete test sequence can with a single sweep be executed within 0.1 to 3 seconds comprising following parameters:
Frequency response, Sensitivity, Average, Polarity, Phase, SPL, Rub & Buzz, THD, Impedance, Resonance,
Loudness, Current distortion, EBP, Q, F (F-res. / Q), Re, BL (center of coil) and T/S parameters etc.

Ambient noise check ensure reliable test results and if noise level to high automatic repeat the test.
A built-in multiplex function allows a single system to control two different test lines.

Test data and results are presented graphically on screen and can be stored together with a serial number locally, or through a network for statistics and post-processing.

Access to change of parameters is controlled by a Pass Word Manager.

A master compensation function make is possible to substitute a reference speaker or another test system. An output compressor enables the system to test microphones.

The software has a number of utilities as statistical analysis, export, import and copy of data as well as an optional match function. Statistical analysis includes calculation of various numbers of standard deviation and average curves to determine the test limits. The analysis is able to find a best matched unit against the average or another stored unit. The system has Ai-mode to recalculate and modifies tolerance limits in run-mode.

A log utility manager makes an automatic registration of every change in setup parameters. This together with a restore / fold back function makes this utility very powerful.

A hardware manager makes changes and calibration of installed hardware very easy.

P900  The P900 generates sufficient power with the internal power amplifier to energize all defects from air-gap problems, puffing sounds, loose particles, constrained voice coil, cabinet rattling, litze wire clatter, glue problems etc., which generally speaking are known as Rub & Buzz distortion.

The system consists of a 19" P900 cabinet with a 14 volt power amplifier. The power amplifier has a 120 VA core.
The system has 2 speakon connections for the internal power amplifier. These enable the system to test on 2 different test booths.
On the front 3 phantom powered XLR input for microphone or line, (input 1, 2  and 3), the phantom power is controlled by software.
Furthermore 3 Lemo connections, (input 3, 4 and 5) used for B&K, Grass, ACO etc. microphones including microphone PSU with 28V and 200V.
As an option the 3 XLR or the 3 Lemo inputs can be a BNC input CCP powered microphones. Constant current is 4 mA.
Max 6 XLR where 3 x XLR with phantom power or 3 Lemo or 3 x BNC plug are allowed as option. A mix is possible.
On rear a jack output for external power amplifier connection and an input for external impedance measurement if internal power amplifier is disabled. A 25 pole plug for digital in & outputs on TTL (3.3 volt level accepted) level used for external control (automated test lines) and a USB connection to PC.
The P900 need a least USB 2.0 high speed connection (480 MHz). Sample rate 96 or 192 KHz.

The software is arranged in four modes, an operator mode, a technician mode, a global set-up mode, and a utility mode, which all are protected by passwords.

The operator mode is for day-to-day production testing of parameters already set-up in the technician mode. This mode is specially designed for non-skilled personnel or for fully automated operations.

In the technician mode all parameters as frequency range, test level, reference curves limits, Rub & Buzz and THD filters etc. are customized to the specific requirements for each individual test.

In the global set-up the graphical presentation, test control, paths for files, chain of tests, statistics etc. are defined in the global set-up the graphical presentation, test control, paths for files, chain of tests, statistics etc. are defined.

For post-processing and manipulation of stored data there are a number of Utility functions as Export and Import of data, Statistical analysis and graphical display of batch data etc. The statistical analysis including calculation of various numbers of standard deviation and average curves to determine the test limits. The analysis is able to find a best matched measured unit against the average or another unit.
